About Us
Groove Dance Studio was born from a simple belief: everyone can dance. In 2020, founder Jasmine Teo left a professional dance career with the Singapore Dance Theatre to make dance accessible to everyone — not just trained performers. She opened Groove in Bugis during COVID, starting with Zoom classes from her living room. What began as a handful of students following along from home grew into a movement. When studios reopened, the community came together in person for the first time, and the energy was electric. Today, Groove is home to over 1,500 students across six dance styles. From K-pop-obsessed teens to working adults rediscovering joy through movement, our studio is a space where fitness meets self-expression. No mirrors on the wall to judge you. No experience required. Just music, movement, and a room full of people who came to feel alive.
To prove that everyone can dance — and that dance is the most joyful way to move your body.
